Black Days Indeed – May 18, 2017

Chris Cornell died today, and I didn’t know what to write. Why did it hit me so hard? His was one of the voices to break free of the synth-laden 80s music that still haunts me. His music reintroduced me to appreciation of lyrical loudness. His scream was an amazing addition to the instrumental ensemble that was Soundgarden.

Climate, Jobs, Justice & the Economy – April 26, 2017

Where does one begin when fighting for climate, jobs, and justice. In a search for commonalities, the most obvious is the economy.

Climate and the economy, such obvious archenemies, are a dichotomy leaving us a choice of one or the other. We can have one but must drop the other; it shouldn’t be a tough call.
